Waverly B. Woodson Jr. is our Trophy Dad because of the incredible service to others during his time in WWII as a medic. He as denied the honor of receiving the Medal of Honor like thousands of other black soldiers during the 1940s. His family it still petitioning the US Army and government to give him a posthumous medal, you can help here.
